Environmental Policy


The Directors at First City Care have a leading role in the companies environmental matters, ensuring that such issues are promoted as a fundamental aspect of the business operations. All employees are encouraged to carryout their business activities in a manner that is sensitive to the environment.

The Environmental Policy we have in place is structured to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2004 standard.

In order to meet the requirements set out in our Environmental Policy we pay particular attention to the following:

  • Take all necessary care to recycle materials wherever possible.
  • Use environmentally friendly products wherever possible.
  • Regularly monitor our energy usage and use of natural resources to help reduce the amounts we use.
  • Ensure that targets are met.
  • Be proactive and look to develop and implement greener solutions for activities where appropriate.
  • Any environmental hazards are promptly reported.
  • Provide suitable information to enable employees to deal with their specific areas of environmental control.

Improved environmental policies can only be achieved if our suppliers adopt similar standards. We continually work closely with our suppliers to ensure that they comply with all relevant environmental legislation and that their products are environmentally friendly, and wherever possible all waste materials are recycled.

The policy is reviewed annually by the board or if circumstances change significantly will be updated as required.
